Setting Up a Web Server

Aaron Thompson on ‘How to Set up a Web Server’ on your local computer. This is known as creating a ‘localhost’. We used a WAMP setup, an acronym standing for Windows, Apache, mySQL, and PHP. Apache is the actual ‘web server’ software, and mySQL and PHP were installed for a later presentation.

The links to the setup wizards for all three programs (apache, mySQL, and PHP) can be found here, and the document that contains all of Aaron’s speaking notes, which can also tell you how to get the most current versions of this software.

Please remember these videos have not been edited in any way, and might contain intro scenes and comments not intended for a final release.
