Here are the results of our meeting on 1/24 meeting. Sorry i have been really busy and not gotten this up yet.
Officer Changeover
we will be holding elections for officer positions as soon as fastest geek is over. This means the new officers will have time to get settled in with no pressure, and we will be able to walk them through anything they might have questions about

Feb 21 - 11-4 - Open Preliminaries - Anyone can stop by and compete
Feb 22 - 2-3 - Finals - anyone can watch, dell rep. will be on hand, along with media and all prizes will be given out
We talked about prizes as well, they are
- Dell Laptop
- 125 Gift Card to Amazon.com
- 75 Gift Card to Amazon.com
A few of us are getting together on Feb 2 or 3(next weekend) to put together the computers we have for fastest geek and ensure they work and all. If you are interested in helping out or coming to see the computers, I will put up a post once we decide on times and such and put it on the calendar.
At and T is wanting to come and give a technical presentation on networking.
They will present a case study on the 11 local McDonalds, which all are managed on a single T1 internet line provided by At&T. The technical details of how this works will be presented.
Another presentation that would be upcoming is the MSDN NET presentation. They are a large ISP in north america. Details later.

Hey guys we had an officers meeting this weekend. Here is what went down.
We are going to be doing our biannual picnic this upcoming Friday from 11-2 on the FGH patio. Ill update the cal asap. We really need volunteers to help us make this happen, so if you can get there and help any time between 10 and 3, please contact Jared at jared DOT segal AT vanderbilt DOT edu. I will send out an email to the listserv asking for volunteers as well.
As for picnic supplies and stuff, the officers are going to go shopping with our IEEE adviser, Prof Dozier, Thur around 4:15. Our budget for this is $500, coming from IEEE. You can see the list of what we plan to buy at the link below

We should do Dreamweaver presentation, as the new vanderbilt web system cannot use adobe contribute anymore, so webmasters need to know how to use dreamweaver moderately
